Hi!! The provider for this site Ning, which has been free, will begin charging for the sites beginning in July. The Ning mini package is pretty cheap, but too little functionality, the next step is about 200USD/yr, more than what I am willing to pay. I think I will have to look for another alternative. BuddyPress looks good. Will keep you all posted.

Last couple of months this blog and site have been spammed with hundreds of articles by thousands of fake members. It has now been cleaned.

A team of fire-fighting robots has been unveiled by defence contractor QinetiQ at a demonstration in London.

The display showcased a quartet of robots aimed at tackling the particular risk of fires involving cylinders of the industrial gas acetylene.

The robots range from a nimble, stair-climbing reconnaissance unit to a diesel-powered robot with a large claw.
